Where's My Activation Code?
If your purchase came with an activation code, it was sent to your email address in a separate email at the time of purchase. You can also access the activation key from within StomPowered by right clicking on the game and selecting 'Show CD or Authorization key'.

What is my LicenseID and Password?
If you are being asked for a LicenseID and password, please make sure StormPowered is online, and be sure to launch the game from within StormPowered. If you're still getting this issue, Please uninstall any current version of the product you have and make sure the installation folder is deleted, restart the computer, then redownload and reinstall the game from the My Games tab in StormPowered. This issue is often caused by having installed a version of Jutland and/or Distant Guns 1.5 which is no longer compatible with StormPowered. If you're still having trouble, please contact StormPowered customer support via the Customer Support Portal.

FOR EXISTING USERS   
If you have any trouble with the updates in any way, do the following. First un-install everything (including the beta version of StormPowered known as G.A.M.E.), download the latest installer of StormPowered, and install it on your computer. Then reinstall every game from inside StormPowered. This should fix any issues you're having with the newest updates. Make sure you are using your existing account when you log in to StormPowered. Do not create a new accounts, or your previously purchased games will not be there.

FOR ALL USERS 
 Before following any other solution, please make sure you have the latest version of Microsoft .NET framework installed on your computer. To obtain the latest installer, please go here.

FOR NORTON SONAR USERS
Issue: Norton Internet Security "SONAR" improperly quarantines the Stormpowered application when Stormpowered self updates. This is an issue with Norton, not Stormpowered. Until Norton resolves their issue with self updating applications, it may be necessary for Stormpowered users to work around this behavior. Instructions to avoid Norton disabling your Stormpowered application vary slightly by version.

Norton Internet Security 2011
Open Norton Internet Security by clicking on the "Norton Internet Security" Icon in the taskbar tray area.
Select Settings.
On the Settings page, under Computer Settings, select "Configure+" on the "Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection" section.
In the "Auto Protect and Sonar Exclusions" dialog, select "Add", then browse to your Stormpowered folder, select it then OK. By default, this will be "C:\Storm Eagle Studios". Make sure the "include subfolders" box is checked, then select OK. Note that this will _not_ prevent Norton from scanning the folder normally. We recommend allowing scans to continue for your protection.

STORMPOWERED LOGIN ISSUES
If you are having trouble logging in with your StormPowered account, please do the following:

Make sure your Anti Virus and Firewall Software are not blocking the connection. To avoid any complications, make exception rules in both your Anti Virus and Firewall Software to allow incoming and outgoing connections. Please refer to your Anti Virus and Firewall Software documentation for further details on how to do this.

Your Windows Firewall may also be blocking the connections. Follow the appropriate link below for instructions on creating exception rules for StormPowered.

    Account Creation and Management

    How do I create a new account?  
    When you install StormPowered for the first time, you will be asked for your login information, if you don't already have a StormPowered account, you can create a new one by pressing the 'Create New Account' button.

    I forgot my account info. How can I retrieve it? 
    When the login dialog appears, click the 'Retrieve Account Info' button. You will be able to retrieve your login information using a variety of methods. You can use your email address, Customer ID, game License ID, a previous invoice number, or your nickname. An email will be sent to the email address associated with the account containing your info. If you no longer have access to that email account, please contact our Customer Support Portal.

    How can I change my contact info?  

    To change your contact info, go to Here to log in and access your account info. From here you can also access your purchase history.

    Can I install my StormPowered games on more than one PC?  
    Yes! You can install and activate your StormPowered games from any compatible PC that has internet access.

    How many StormPowered accounts can I have?  

    Only one StormPowered account is allowed per email address. This is done for security purposes. You can have as many StormPowered accounts as you have unique email addresses. But note that a game purchased with one account, will not be available from another. This is why we highly recommend only one account per user, to prevent future issues.

    StormPowered ID, merging account, deleting, etc.  

    Merging accounts can only be done on a case by case basis, and then only if both accounts were opened by the same person. There are no exceptions to this policy.

    How can I play my game without being connected to the internet?  
    To activate a game for offline play, select the 'My Games' tab and highlight the game you want to activate for offline play, then click the 'Change to Offline Capable' button at the top of the window.

    How can I maintain account security?  

    Never give out your account info or password to anybody. Watch out for phishing scams that ask your account info or password. Storm Eagle Studios will never ask for your password via an email.

    Purchasing Issues

    My Credit Card was Declined.  
    This could be caused by a variety of issues. First, make sure you have entered the credit card information correctly. There may be insufficient funds for the transaction. Contact your Bank for more information on declined transactions, as some banks do not automatically allow online transactions of this type.

    How can I purchase a game?  
    To buy a product on StormPowered, just go to the store page for that game, click the 'Add to Cart' button. Continue with the checkout. If your game doesn't show up in your My Games library, try restarting StormPowered. If this doesn't fix the problem, please contact us via our Customer Support Portal. If your purchase comes with a product or activation key, it will be sent to your email address in a separate email at the time of purchase. You can also access the activation key from within StormPowered by going to the My Games tab, and right clicking on the game that requires the key and selecting 'show cd or authorization key'. From here you can copy it to the clipboard for ease of input when the product asks for the key.

    My game is not showing up after a purchase.  
    If you're having issues seeing your game in the My Games library, try restarting StormPowered. Make sure StormPowered is launching Online. If StormPowered is not online, try to go online by going to Manage > Online/Offline. If you are unable to go online, make sure your antivirus and firewall software is not preventing StormPowered from accessing the internet. If this doesn't fix the problem, contact customer support via our Customer Support Portal.

    I'm having trouble with PayPal.

    Can I get a refund?  
    Due to the nature of digital distribution, we have a NO REFUND policy. If you're worried about compatibility issues with your computer, many of the games we offer allow play it in a trial mode to ensure compatibility. It is your responsibility to insure StormPowered games are compatible with your PC.

    Product Returns. 
     
    Products purchased through StormPowered or on the Storm Eagle Studios website can't be returned under any circumstances. We have a NO REFUND policy. (The Credit Card Company said No Refund had to be that big)

    How To's

    Disable StormPowered from running on startup.  
    This setting can be turned on or off via the preferences menu in the StormPowered console. To access preferences, go to Manage / Preferences.

    Disable StormPowered splash video from playing on launch.
    This setting can be turned on or off via the preferences menu in StormPowered. To access, go to Manage / Preferences.

    Installing games to a different hard drive location. 
     
    To avoid any possible issues with your games, we strongly recommend you allow all games and installers to install in the default directories.

    Installing StormPowered 
     
    Click Here to download the installer for StormPowered. Make sure you are using an ADMIN account with full ADMIN rights when installing and running StormPowered. After downloading the installer from our website, double click to launch the installer and follow the setup. We strongly recommend you allow StormPowered to install in the the initial default directory you selected on first install.

    Offline mode  

    Offline mode is available whenever you are not connected to the internet. This allows you to play games that have been activated on that computer. If you launch StormPowered when not connected to the internet, it will automatically start in an offline mode, allowing you to play any games that were previously set for offline capability.

    Setting a game to be offline capable  
    To activate a game for offline play, go to the My Games library and highlight the game you want to activate for offline play and click the 'Change to Offline Capable' button at the top of the screen.

    Un-Installing StormPowered  
    To un-install StormPowered, go to your system start menu then go to the Storm Eagle Studios program group, there will be a link to un-install StormPowered You can also un-install StormPowered through the control panel by using the Programs and Features shortcut (add/remove programs on XP machines)

    Troubleshooting

    My Anti-Virus shows StormPowered and/or games on StormPowered as malicious
    To avoid any issues with your Anti-Virus, you may want to either temporarily turn the program off, or manually create a rule exception in your Anti-Virus program for StormPowered. Refer to your Anti-Virus docs for instructions on how to do this.

    Spyware, Adware, and Viruses interfering with StormPowered function.  

    Make sure whatever Anti-Virus software program you use is completely up to date. Run a full system scan if you believe you have Spyware, Adware, or a virus on your system.

    StormPowered crashes during an update.  

    This could be caused by a connection issue. Try restarting StormPowered and see if the issue resolves itself.

    StormPowered will not launch. 
    This could be caused by a permissions issue. Make sure you are using an ADMIN account with full ADMIN rights when you try to launch StormPowered

    Connection issues.  
    Check your firewall settings. You may have to add a rule to allow incoming and outgoing connections with StormPowered. Make sure your router is also set up correctly.

    Games are missing from My Games library. 
     
    If you're in an offline mode, the only games that will appear in your My Games library are the ones installed on your computer. You will not be able to download any new demos until the next time you're online. Try restarting StormPowered and see if the game appears after the restart. If you're still having trouble, contact StormPowered support Customer Support Portal.

    Why is the StormPowered client telling me my account is in use on another machine?
      
    Your account can only be in an active online mode on one single computer at a time. You may be logged in elsewhere on another machine or somebody had gained unauthorized access to your account.

    If you feel that somebody has gained unauthorized access, you can immediately use our unique StormPowered FAIL-SAFE LOCK OUT feature by pressing the LOCK ACCOUNT button when the dialog appears saying your account is in use elsewhere. Locking your account will immediately lock out both you and the other person and will immediately change your password, and send the new password to your email address for speedy and hassle free account recovery.

    Installation

    How do I install my games?  
    All of our games can only be installed through StormPowered. When installing one of our games or demos, go to the 'MY GAMES' tab in StormPowered and then download the game installer. When this is finished downloading highlight the game you downloaded, and click the 'Install' button located at the top of the screen.

    Why won't my game install?  
    You may be having permission issues, make sure you are using an ADMIN account with full ADMIN rights when running the installer for StormPowered, running StormPowered, or trying to install a game through StormPowered.

    UPDATING ISSUES

    StormPowered or my games will not update.
    1. Check your firewall settings. You may have to manually add a rule to allow incoming and outgoing connections for StormPowered. To do this, please consult your firewall documentation.
    2. It's possible that your router is not correctly set up for gaming. Consult your router documentation or the website PORTFORWARD.COM
    3. Your virus software might be stopping StormPowered from accessing the internet. Consult your virus software documentation.

    IN GAME ISSUES

    Why does my game-play look choppy or slow?
    1. It's possible that you have the game graphic settings too high and your computer is not capable of running the game on those settings. Try changing the display settings to a lower setting.
    2. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

    Why are some or all of the ship models invisible?
    Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

    Why is the screen flickering or glitching occasionally?
    Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card.

    Why can't I hear the game music?
    Make sure the music is turned on in the sound settings menu.
    Make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound card.

    Why can't I hear any sound in the game at all?
    Make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound card.
    The volume for your PC may be turned down or muted. It's also possible your speekers are set up incorrectly. Refer to the owners manual for your speekers for further troubleshooting.

    Why am I getting a Bluescreen (BSOD) when playing the game?
    In order to diagnose this issue, you will first need to be able to read the error message on the bluescreen.
    To do this use the following steps:
    1. Start Menu > Control Panel > System > Advanced Tab > Startup and Recovery Settings
    2. In this menu, make sure the 'automatic restart' is not active. (If so, simply click the check mark off in the checkbox)
    3. Next time you get the bluescreen crash, you will be able to read the error message.
    4. Write down the error message that you see.

    This issue is mostly due to graphics and/or sound card problems. Make sure you have the latest drivers for both.
    If you're using a sound card instead of the onboard sound output, make sure you have the on board sound output disabled (refer to individual computer user manuals for instructions on how to do this)

    If you have made sure your graphics and/or sound drivers are not the cause of this issue, then you may want to type the error message into a Google search and look for further solutions.

    If none of these solutions work, please open a tech support ticket through our Customer Support Portal using your customer ID and password to log in. If you already have an account please use this account, do not create a new account as this will delay support times.
